Handmade embroidery is used for the works of the Singaporean needlewoman Pie Wen. Starting with a few “silk” paintings, she managed to create a whole platform for those interested.

The woman uses special silk threads for her art objects. Their special properties allow embroidery to literally shine in daylight. The subjects of the works are landscapes of China, as well as other images that are associated with this amazing country.

The woman's embroidery is based on ancient Chinese traditions and work with silk. They helped her gain information about the combination of multi-colored silk threads, types of stitches and the peculiarities of their tension. In addition to this, Pie Wen studied the art of double-sided embroidery. Her paintings are equally colorful both from the face and from the inside.

Over time, the needlewoman realized that her hobby was attracting more and more fans. They were interested not only in the visual component, but also in the technical subtleties of the work. To do this, Pew Ven created a special platform where she was able to share her knowledge. She also posted her finished paintings there.
