The modular stool was created by specialists from one of the Hong Kong studios. The piece of furniture can be folded and unfolded, allowing you to carry it with you.
Bioplastic and starch were used as material for the novelty. The latter was extracted from corn and flaxseed fiber. Thanks to this,
stool received the proper strength and elasticity, not inferior in characteristics to carbon fiber products.
From an ecological point of view, this piece of furniture is also interesting. The composite will take about six months to fully decompose under a controlled environment.
In order to increase ease of use, the stool was conceived as a stackable structure with modules only a few millimeters thick. But, despite this, the novelty is very durable. This is achieved due to the special geometry of the seat - "trefoil", forming a single whole.
At this point, it is not yet clear when the Hong Kong architects' stools will go on sale. So far, this is only a conceptual development, which is manufactured in small quantities and to order.
