Life-filled terrariums are created by Ohio artist Jami. In her works, she relies on naturalness and environmental friendliness.
Jami's creations are round glass containers in which soil and
plants are laid out sequentially. She combines them to create whimsical compositions and patterns.
First, the girl collects materials for the future terrarium. It can be flowers, leaves, small stones, sand, clay, earth. Then she lays everything out in a certain way on round glass. Jami also calls it a frame, since the latter has wooden sides around the circumference.
After laying out the materials, the artist covers the finished "picture" with a special compound that prevents the development of parasites inside. And she covers her terrarium with a second glass. To prevent the Jami art object from opening, it is fixed with a special latch.
As Jami herself notes, her sense of style helps her to compose plants and flowers. Therefore, she often calls her works stylish "paintings behind glass".
