The wooden sculpture, which resembles a rope, was created from wood by Canadian Muscle Lasserre. From it comes tension, not even metaphorical, but physical.

The art object of the Canadian sculptor is an ash tree trunk, which is suspended vertically. Its inner part is cut in the shape of a rope. All the details of this sculpture - torn ropes and strands stretched to the limit, were created by the master himself.

Maskul Lasserre managed to preserve most of the log, its shape, texture, natural verticality. He pulled out only the inside to reveal the frayed rope. This creates the illusion of being suspended and fragile. And the visual balance depends on the strength of the wooden element that connects everything. It seems that the lower part of the tree will collapse as soon as the rope is finally frayed.

The sculptor notes that the process of creating the wooden "giant" took him almost two weeks. Although he was hatching a future project for about a month.

The process of creating his creation Muskul Lasserr posted in the public domain. He wanted to show that, despite the painstaking work, the result of the finished product is impressive.
