Steampunk is a style that was designed to combine the seemingly incongruous. Elements of the past with a modern interpretation. This symbiosis is increasingly seen in interior design.

In the steampunk style, opposites coexist at the same time - brutality and romance, external coldness and comfort. Experts believe that this is a kind of human perspective from the past to the future.

In the XIX-XX centuries, it was believed that in tens and hundreds of years there will be mechanical units everywhere. I hadn't even thought about electronics yet. The machines of the future were considered to be devices with steam engines, equipped with many gears, levers and pistons.

In the interior, steampunk is manifested in the stylization of modern antique decor items. It can be painted in copper shades, wood paneling. Mechanical antiquities add originality. Lighting devices are stylized as weird devices.

But, despite all the external brutality of this style, the interior color scheme is quite warm. Beige, red-brown and even black shades are used. The inclusion of copper, brass, bronze and gold is also noted.
