Korean music group Aespa has announced a new member. She was a virtual performer named Karina. This innovation was introduced for the first time not only in Korea, but throughout the world.

The virtual participant can sing in the microphone and dance. If necessary, she even answers the questions put to her. The singer is currently performing as a member of the group, but music producer Lee Soo Man plans to increase the number of virtual members.

According to Lee Soo Man, this is the first time digital singers have entered the pop industry. This innovation shows a future where the boundaries between reality and the virtual world are blurred.

The immediate plans of the project are to expand the capabilities of the virtual performer. Learning new types of dance, independently inventing movements for different types of music. But this will require the use of technology based on artificial intelligence.

It is noted that this is not quite the first experience of connecting virtual "accompaniment" to musical projects. In 2018, in the same South Korea, a group appeared that consisted entirely of virtual singers. They were created on the basis of the characters in the computer game. But their level was very far from that at which the performer Karina is now performing.
