Google will be engaged in the production of gadgets from garbage
By the end of 2025, Google plans to focus on environmental friendliness in the production of materials for its electronic products. In particular, use up to 50% recycled or renewable resources.
In five years, the company plans to make all plastic elements 50% from recycled materials. For this, the waste generated during the production of products by the company itself and its contractors will be used. It is also possible that it will be plastic that can be recycled and reused.
On the road to sustainable products, Google understands that it will need more than close relationships with suppliers. This will include work in laboratories, exchange of knowledge with industry partners, participation in international projects.
At the moment, some electronic elements are already being produced with an environmental connotation. The rear panels of the new smartphones are made from recycled aluminum, the speaker casings and thermostat decorative covers are made from recycled plastic.
To implement the environmental component, Google plans to build a mini-city with its own infrastructure. Offices and living quarters will be located there. This will enable specialists to concentrate more on work and increase their personal effectiveness.
