LG has come up with a new smartphone that can curl up into a tube. It will stretch along the edges and have standard functionality.

Outwardly, the development will look like the most common gadget. But you just have to pull on the edges and it can increase in size. The unusual ability to change its size is due to the use of a special spring-based mechanism.

The designers of the company note that at the initial stages of their development they will be able to stretch only from one side. But in the future, they plan that stretching and contraction will be bilateral in nature.

This idea allows to increase the level of compactness not only of LG products, but also of other manufacturers. After all, there is an unspoken tendency that as soon as one company makes some kind of innovative breakthrough, its competitors immediately try to "drag" the initiative into their own hands.

The new gadget should go on sale early next year. In the same period, the manufacturer will disclose information about its characteristics. At the moment, there is no data on its appearance and functionality yet.
