This experimental Pontiac was built for one of the many trade shows. But two years later, like many exhibits, it was cut into metal. But after him there was a reduced copy.
Children's car has become a futuristic concept car. Thanks to him, the developers wanted to imagine how the cars will look in 10-20 years. Designer Harley Earl was based on a model released a few years earlier. But he exaggerated it slightly.
Outwardly, the car looked like a pedal plane. Its body was a monocoque made of aluminum. The passenger and driver's seats were equipped with individual windshields. And there were no bumpers at all.
After the 3: 8 scale pedal typewriter was made, the designer gave it to his grandchildren. And after the death of Harley Earl, the model first changed several owners, and later - put up for auction.
Today the small pedal concept is kept in a private collection. And it remains the only reminder of the once famous designer and his dream car.
It is noted that a replica of this car was sold in 2009 at one of the European auctions for $ 110,000.
