The Chinese brand OPPO has introduced new augmented reality glasses, for which it has developed a special application. The gadget is not yet available even for testing.

The new development is a compact, powerful and relatively inexpensive device for displaying augmented reality. It was equipped with special optical technology, as when viewing a wide-screen monitor from a distance of several meters.

The glasses received two cameras, distance sensors and sensors that are responsible for brightness. The device is controlled via a smartphone, built-in voice assistant or by means of gestures. As for the latter, the glasses are capable of recognizing anchor points on a person's hand and the smallest gestures.

But creating such a device is only half the battle. The company has developed a special application for them based on spatial computing technology. High localization is provided via GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It also used high-precision recognition of surrounding scenes and recreation of the real world.

At the moment, it is still impossible to assess the capabilities of the new gadget. Their access for testing is still closed. Nevertheless, the start of production is scheduled for early next year.
