American startup NightWare has created smartwatches that are able to fight nightmares. They have already been approved by the relevant department.

The development is a device that measures heart rate and breathing during sleep. When they start to grow, in the event of a nightmare, the watch sends a signal to its owner in the form of vibration. It is small, but able to wake up from deep sleep.

The peculiarity of the device is that it does not wake up the sleeping person completely. Thus, it does not harm the systematic removal from sleep. A smart watch with its vibration, as it were, "pushes" the sleeping person. Relieve him of his nightmare.

The Food and Drug Administration has approved the use of the novelty for therapeutic purposes for the treatment of PTSD.

At the moment, the development has not yet gone on sale. It is known that from the beginning of 2021 it will be provided free of charge to war veterans after a special application is made. Nevertheless, the gadget is not able to replace the prescribed therapy and medications.

If the patient wants to purchase this device, then he needs to contact the developer. But at the stage of testing and finalizing smartwatches, this is not yet possible.
