Butterfly roof and multifunctional interior space - project of a family home in Silicon Valley (Photo)

The house, filled with many bright and spacious rooms, was developed by the specialists of an architectural studio from the USA. This is nothing new for Silicon Valley, but the designers have found something to surprise.

In place of the old demolished building, a new two-story house with five bedrooms, four bathrooms was erected. Common rooms were the connecting link.

Additional premises - chef's kitchen, home theater, wine cellar. They are in close proximity to each other to ensure the comfort of the pastime.

Of particular interest is the asymmetrical roof reminiscent of a butterfly. It is even called that - a butterfly roof. The architects drew inspiration from the houses of the same owners, located in Ireland and India.

The house is conditionally divided into two parts - a “family” one with a kitchen, dining room and living room, the second was occupied by a formal dining room and living room. A tree is planted between them as a symbol of the reunion of their happy life.

Each room in this house seems to flow into one another. Moreover, they are quite easily combined with each other thanks to the glass doors. The latter provide space zoning, even if it is barely noticeable.

According to the authors of the project, this is a house where you want to live your whole life.
