The lamps resembling sunflowers were created by Ukrainian designer Victoria Yakusha. The collection of furniture was presented at a specialized exhibition in Milan at the end of last year.

The luminaire frame is made of recycled steel coated with biodegradable material. The latter is a aromatic composite made of clay, wood chips, flax, straw and recycled paper.

The Ukrainian woman chose sunflowers for her lighting devices for a reason. After all, it is believed that they are one of the symbols of Ukraine. These flowers seem to grow out of the ground and reach for the sun.

The inspiration in the project was the culture of Tripoli, famous for its ceramics, distinctive architecture and the praise of the feminine principle. Here the designer's interest in the history of his country can also be traced.

The collection of pieces of furniture created by Victoria Yakusha includes a bench and a coffee table. Moreover, sunflowers were also the leitmotif in it.

The Ukrainian designer attributed her works to the style, which she describes as “new primitivism”. It combines traditional knowledge, designer craftsmanship and innovative materials.

The pieces of furniture, including sunflower lamps, were created as part of a large-scale project. They were made for the Faina brand.
