LEGO presented the largest set in terms of the number of parts. He became the champion not only among the manufacturer's designers, but also among the designers in principle.

New set - the Roman Colosseum recreated in detail from 9036 parts. It very accurately reflects the architecture of the ancient Roman amphitheater. There are many authentic details, including some parts of it.

Three types of columns were used for the set - Doric, Ionic and Corinthian. They have been recreated using various building techniques.

The LEGO Colosseum also includes about 80 "ribs" for the spectator stands. This was copied from the original architectural structure.

Also, to give the set more realism, three types of brick shades were used. It was used to recreate the columns and give them an aging effect.

Even the assembly process is taken over from a real prototype. First, it is necessary to design a "wooden" platform in the form of an oval.

The LEGO Colosseum is a set that was able to display the special architectural feature of the ancient structure.

According to the developer of the constructor, its creation is one of the biggest challenges that the manufacturers of play sets could throw. After long trials, LEGO managed to convey the entire monumentality of the Colosseum.
