Comfortable armchairs made from unsold down jackets were designed by Seoul-based designer Jinyoung Young. Together with the Shirter brand, they have developed a whole collection of furniture pieces.

Visually, the designer's models have a standard design. The only thing that distinguishes them from ordinary chairs is the upholstery. It was made from unsold down jackets filled with goose down.

Jinyoung Yong left the decorative trims in the form of pockets, stitches and fasteners. In his opinion, this is able to give individuality to his pieces of furniture. And also tell about the origin of the upholstery.

These chairs are comfortable and functional. They even allow you to store small items in them in the form of pens, notebooks or TV remotes.

This is not Jinyoung Young's first experience using leftover materials in a non-standard way. Previously, he had to create chairs from the remains of aluminum sheets. But then the project was narrower.

Now, along with the Shirter brand, the Seoul designer has dared to experiment on a larger scale. After all, if the idea with armchairs comes up, then they plan to create other pieces of furniture - sofas, tables, benches or swings for country houses. But at the moment, only armchairs with upholstery made from unsold jackets have been released.
