The girl paints cutting boards, trays and other kitchen utensils. She often goes on experiments that end in very unpredictable ways.

Maria Riesen chooses wood and plastic surfaces for her work. First, she prepares them in a certain way: cleans, covers with protective agents. Then he applies a drawing or creates an applique. And at the exit, the finished work is covered with the same protective layer.

The beginning of the next creation is a sketch. Maria Riesen takes a paper, a pencil and sends it to the seaside. There she spends more than one hour. He makes sketches, collects pebbles, and handles the sand. In a word, it adjusts to the desired mood.

Having come home from a boat trip, the artist already has an idea that can only be embodied on a wooden or plastic surface.

As for the material, Maria Riesen gives preference to natural materials. She loves to work with wood, stone, resin.

Recently, the girl has been photographing her work and posting it online. But she removes them not just on a white background, but decorates them with fruits, sweets and nuts.

At the moment, Maria Riesen does not consider her hobby as a business. But she still admits that she could create her own cutting boards, spatulas or trays for sale. In this she relies on her social networks.
