Groundbreaking transformation: Tokyo architecture studio rebuilds geisha house into boutique hotel

Tripster Design Studio has initiated a series of redevelopments. They recently completed a boutique hotel in a traditional Japanese style.

The hotel premises are located in one of the districts of Tokyo. It attracts visitors with its miniature size, which creates an unprecedented sense of comfort.

The idea of ​​creating such a space lies in similar establishments that were very popular in the past. There, people talked about their experiences. Previously, this house was the home of geisha, where girls learned the skill of entertaining male clients.

The design team had to take drastic measures. She completely rebuilt the premises. In the center there is a small room, which, according to the idea of ​​the authors of the project, was supposed to become the smallest disco club in the world with special lighting. A room with a curved bar is decorated with a huge glowing ball.

The rest of the hotel space can accommodate up to 15 people. The interior of all rooms is rather laconic. Beds, seating, single artwork. The bathroom of this miniature hotel is a square cypress bath.

A tribute to national traditions is manifested in the interiors of the tea room with tatami mat, which is decorated with a fireplace sinking in the center of the room. The insulated floor allows you to enter the hotel without shoes.

The Tokyo hotel receives visitors constantly. The only problem is that it is difficult to get there. The constant flow of customers does not always allow you to book a room even several months in advance.
