"Go to your goal, look only forward, there is no turning back ..." - a ship modeler from Kherson about his hobby

Ship modeling is a hobby of people in love with the seas and deprived of the opportunity for some reason to surf their endless expanses. We will tell you about a resident of Kherson named Yuri, who is engaged in large-scale modeling, and has already managed to exhibit his heren yacht on Violiti.

The creation of an old sailing ship is Yuri's first experience of this kind in ship modeling. He liked the ships and somehow he decided to build just such. All the details were created by hand, the cannons and anchors were cast from an alloy of tin and lead, the sails were stitched on a sewing machine. Oak, ash, mahogany, pine, beech and others were used in the construction.

The work on the creation of the old sailboat took the ship modeler two years. This was preceded by a detailed study of the technical characteristics of ships of this class, as well as an acquaintance with the art of collecting large-scale models of ships.

When assembling a model of a ship, it is impossible to be guided by a single principle of similarity to the original. It is also a new life, a new reading of the ship, in the image of which it was created.

Yuri noted the special contribution to the creation of the heren yacht of his teacher, the ship modeling circle A.A. Popov. It was he who taught him the art of building scale models of ships.

The decision to put my work up for sale wasn't spontaneous. It was, in a way, a recommendation from Yuri's father and brother. Among the many venues, the choice fell on Violiti. Relatives of Yuri recommended the site because of its prestige and safety.

The ship modeler plans to continue the creation of large-scale ships and cooperate with Violiti in the future.
