The Aqua Aerem startup decided to test a new technology for producing hydrogen. Test trials will begin within a month.
The essence of the development consists in capturing hydrogen in air and separating it using hydrolysis. So, through the processing of solar energy, desert territories will turn into a resource base for many industrial enterprises, scientific and
tourist centers.
Testing will begin in the northern regions of the continent. The driest regions are concentrated there. There is a lot of sun, but no water to transport energy. And with Australia planning to become an exporter of solar energy, there is no better place to be found.
The experiment is based on a 12-week trial. Scientists will use a photovoltaic system that will capture energy from the sun twice as fast as a silicon panel.
The tests are the first phase of a pilot project to produce renewable hydrogen. After completion, scientists will be able to say for sure whether the chemical element will be used for local power plants.
If all goes well, the mega plant will be able to produce up to 912 tons of reduced hydrogen per year. And this will make it possible to provide half of the energy to any power plant.
Tennant Creek is the city from which the tests of the project will begin. Its topography and climate are favorable for testing new technology.
All test data will be recorded and published in specialized publications. If desired, future investors will be able to familiarize themselves with them and make a decision on investing.
