Apple has released the next version of the operating system for its smartphones. Among other things, the innovations affected emoji - 217 emoticons were added.

Most of the new features are updated versions of existing symbols. But there are also those that users saw for the first time - a yellow muzzle with spiral eyes, exhaling steam or being in a cloud. There are also new couples in love with hearts.

As for the update, the syringe emoji that previously contained blood drops is now gone. And the headphones have become more like the company's products. The heart is no longer fiery, but tied with bandages.

The decision to update the emoticons for messages was not accidental. After all, as noted in the company, they help to express the feelings of people even without words. This simplifies correspondence, reaction to visual information, and saves time.

Frequency of release of operating systems and emoji is not related. As a rule, the latter are updated simply at the request of the developers to add something new to the visual of user communications.

One of the most recent emoji updates happened in December last year. Then the "assortment" of new products was not so large and provocative.

By the way, many users condemned emoticons with bearded women and hearts between both sexes. But that didn't stop Apple from leaving the visual innovations as they came out.

It is expected that the next emoji update will take place in conjunction with the release of the next operating system. And it will be scheduled for the first half of 2022.

Earlier, OXO wrote that Apple may stop the release of iPhone 12 mini.
