Indian architecture company Manoj Patel Design Studio presented furniture made from roof tiles. The designers spied ideas for the collection on the streets.

The studio's product line is represented by tables, chairs, benches and solid ottomans. All items are created manually, without involving machine production.

Indian architects have taken as a basis the traditional technology for the production of tiles, which consists of five stages. Shaping, drying, coating, kiln firing.
The existing rhythmic pattern allows the finished products to exclude massiveness. Tables, chairs and benches look neat.

Steel frames are used by architects as the basis for some models. They are always present in the tables.

The authors of the project wanted to create an invisible connection between traditional materials and the surrounding space with the help of their collection. Roof tiles are a fairly common element in most Indian streets. Therefore, they wanted to beat him in a new way.

This is not the first time that Manoj Patel designer furniture has been presented at specialized exhibitions. There have already been attempts to use traditional building materials in the interior.

The aforementioned collection is an attempt by the studio architects to combine functional, affordable and sustainable furniture in one project.

Items from the "tiled" collection are available only by prior order. It is possible to make either one element or a whole series. After the presentation, photographs of Manoj Patel's tile furniture were posted on the studio's official website.

Earlier OXO wrote about a new vision of lamps from Folkform.
