OXO remembered Narl's poof resembling a flower

The Narl pouf was designed and created by student Karl Dirkow. The piece of furniture was presented several years ago at a specialized exhibition in New York. OXO remembered him.

Outwardly, pouf resembles a bird's nest. But instead of feathers, branches and leaves, felt petals hang down. The overlays are stacked in eight rows for extra volume.

The lower part of the piece of furniture is a semicircular massive base. Sitting in such a chair, a person seems to fall into a soft cradle. Rocking back and forth, you can even fall asleep after a hard day's work.

Felt petals resemble a bedspread that can be removed and washed if necessary. After drying, the upper part is fastened with buttons and zippers.

The dense fabric of the chair cover also makes it warm. And in case of extra comfort, you can use a blanket.

A nest pouf is both a central element of the decor and an addition to an existing layout. But his presence is accompanied by open parts - a place near the fireplace, in addition to a couch or a coffee table.

It is noted that during the New York exhibition, the nest chair literally captivated visitors. More than 10 people even immediately placed an order for a piece of furniture.

Later photographs with the "nest" were published in several specialized publications. This promised popularity to an unusual piece of furniture.

In recent years, Karl Dirkow has continued to create furniture. But so far there has not been such a successful project as this one. Perhaps this will happen in the near future.
