American Mark Jenkins creates original art installations in the street style style. For his work, he uses very unusual material: scotch tape and packaging film. Mark's sculptures fit perfectly into the world around us. They interact with nature and people at the same time.

Mark's creations look so realistic that they are constantly confused with real people. To create his own figures, the master wraps the human body with foil and wraps it with tape, creating a rigid frame. After making a neat cut, Mark removes it from the model and glues it back together. After that, a wig and suitable clothing are put on the workpiece.

Jenkins places his installations in places that attract the most attention. The looks of passers-by are attracted by the figures of children and adults lying on the lawn in the middle of the street, suspended by loops from trees, crawling out of garbage cans or thrusting their heads into a brick wall.

Jenkins came up with the idea for such surreal creations after visiting the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, which was hosting a major retrospective exhibition. The author exhibited his first works on the streets of Rio de Janeiro back in 2002.

Today the American is known all over the world. His works are exhibited not only in America, but also in galleries in Europe, Brazil and Great Britain. Such legendary publications as "The Independent", Time Out: New York "and The Washington Post told about the artist's work.

Through his work, the artist expresses his attitude to the problems of the modern world. For example, by creating figures of people with heads from teddy bears, Mark drew public attention to the plight of polar bears as a result of melting glaciers.
