Metal brushes and fan propellers - details of a steampunk sculpture by a Lithuanian master

Steampunk sculptures are created by a Lithuanian master who creates under the pseudonym Arturas. The works of the Lithuanian are very realistic.

Arturas draws ideas for his sculptures from books and films about fantasy creatures. His works are animals that combine functional details from various devices. Mole vacuum cleaner, ostrich hanger, submarine telescope.

Before creating any sculpture, a man selects materials, makes up an image of a future animal. Sometimes you have to combine parts from different household appliances that have long been out of order. In some cases, the devices are still in working order.

The creation of the image of the sculpture begins with a sketch. On paper, Arturas imagines what a fantasy creature would look like. What parts will be movable and what will remain static.

Then comes the selection of details - the body, head, paws, fins or wings. As a rule, the master visits flea markets, antique shops, garage sales. Often friends and acquaintances bring details for future sculptures to Arturas. In gratitude for this, the steampunk master gives them ready-made works.

Metal brushes, fan propellers, scuba tubes, parts of gas cylinders are used. Wire, caps, knife and scissor blades are used to trim the faces, wool and wings.

Photos of steampunk sculptures are displayed on the official website of Arturas and on social networks. Often, the master publishes not only photographs, but also videos with the process of creating works.
