Airbus presented three innovative developments at its Toulouse headquarters. Namely, conceptual aircraft models that do not pollute the air with greenhouse gases. The absence of harmful emissions is ensured through the use of hydrogen fuel in aircraft.

The company said that these aircraft are the first-ever passenger airliners to be put on a regular flow. The first flights will take place by 2035. The company plans to lead the aviation industry to a leading position in decarbonization.

One of the aircraft is capable of transporting 120 to 200 clients over a distance of up to 3,700 km. Such characteristics will allow the liners to operate on transcontinental lines. The gas turbine system will act as the engine. The rear of the aircraft will house liquid hydrogen tanks.

Another model is designed for short-distance (up to 1,850 km) domestic flights. The airbus, equipped with a turboprop engine, will be able to transport up to 100 passengers.

The third aircraft is made in a non-standard "hybrid wing" design. This means that the fuselage and wing of the liner do not have clear boundaries. Due to this design, hydrogen tanks can be positioned in a variety of variations. Passenger capacity is 200 people.

It should be noted that for the commissioning of hydrogen aircraft, it is necessary to make a number of adjustments in the activities of airports. This is due to the peculiarities of storage and transportation of hydrogen fuel.
According to the Airbus CEO, the design of improved airport infrastructure and replacement of outdated airliners will require strong government funding.
