The bathroom is a place that should be clean. In many ways, this is facilitated by the way the room is finished. The designers opted for microcement.
The mixture contains a polymer that allows stretching and does not allow water to pass through. The ideal layer of application is 2-3 cm. In case of insufficiency, moisture will seep through the micro-concrete or it will be erased in the places of pouring with “mistakes”. On the shelves where
soap dispensers are placed.
To decorate the bathroom, the designers wanted to use a standard material, but in an unusual design. The familiar tiles, wall and floor paint, even the most creative designs and colors, did not inspire. We decided to try micro concrete.
Micro concrete is a hygroscopic mixture that, when applied correctly, does not leave joints, transitions or cracks. It can be used on a wide variety of surfaces such as walls, ceilings, floors and furniture. The authors of the project did the same. Everything in the bathroom is filled with micro-concrete.
It was not by chance that the designers suggested the owners of the house to use micro-concrete for the bathroom. Such a building material is considered to be very flexible in decoration. It is easy to prepare and apply, fairly quick to dry, and non-toxic.
An additional advantage of micro-concrete is its ease of maintenance. The absence of joints allows you not to worry that dirt, water or fungus will collect in them.
Iroko wood was used as color and textured accents. The material managed to dilute the steel-gray shade and make the space more comfortable. Also, the interior was complemented by plumbing elements and mirror surfaces.
