Peugeot has completely updated its hatchback
The French company Peugeot has presented an updated hatchback. The car has become more powerful and technologically advanced.
The body is made in the traditional for new auto of the French automaker. Sophisticated aerodynamics, a new version of the branded emblems, "clawed" optics.
In terms of dimensions, the hatchback has become wider. The wheelbase, passenger space and trunk have increased. The interior of the car has also changed: the dashboard was modified, the trim of the seats and upholstery became softer - the leather interior was supplemented with blotches of elastic synthetics.
The technological component has also changed. The multimedia system received a multi-channel interface, widgets and the ability to simultaneously connect multiple smartphones.
The steering wheel has become multifunctional due to the touch buttons. The vehicle driver adjusts the functionality to suit his needs.
The freed up space near the gearbox has been adapted for small storage compartments and USB connectors.
Cruise control, lane maintenance and more are also used as active assistance for the driver. Semi-autopilot allows the driver to independently change lanes. And, guided by the tips of the assistant, vary the speed depending on the turning angle, the nature of the road surface.
The power plant of the updated hatchback is represented by a hybrid engine - gasoline and electric. It is complemented by an 8-speed automatic transmission. But there is also a more powerful version of the car. The drive in both versions is front only.
Sales of the updated car will begin in the European market in late spring 2021.
