The knife sculpture was created by British craftsman Bradley Alfie. Material evidence from 43 police stations became the material.

Bradley Alfie created an 8-meter angel out of knives with which people were once killed or wounded. The sculptor worked on his grieving masterpiece for almost a year and a half.

The work was hard not only physically, but also emotionally. The realization that a piece of metal could extend someone's life if it did not fall into the hands of a criminal or a desperate person is painful. The sculpture symbolizes sorrow for all lives that could be extended.

For a year and a half, Bradley Alfie was working on collecting, cleaning, blunting edged weapons. Local police stations responded to the sculptor's request and took part in the action: "Save your life, hand over your knife."

It took a lot of time to sort the knives by shape, size and color. It was necessary to find a room where all these weapons could be laid out. So Bradley Alfie used his garage.

The idea to create a grieving angel came after the Briton noticed an increase in the number of knife-wounded crimes across the country. Bradley Alfie decided to create a work that can draw attention to this problem for all residents of Great Britain.

Among the "assistants" of the master were even representatives of gangs who brought knives with the names of their friends engraved. Friends killed by a steel blade. The knives were handed over with the words "let it all be finished."

The symbolism of the grieving angel is striking in its sincerity and desire to help people.
