Employees of the French design studio Hintlab experiment with a 3D printer in their free time. This time, the designers create decorations in the likeness of the LEGO constructor.

Each decoration consists of movable and fixed parts. One of them is the base on which the removable parts are attached. The owner of the jewelry independently adds or removes dummy crystals, a flat stone or a rectangular bar.

Rings and earrings, which are assembled as parts of the designer, are an opportunity to take a break from the main activity. This is the hobby of several of the company's enthusiasts. Jewelry parts are assembled and disassembled like elements of a Danish designer.

Hypoallergenic plastic is used as a material. Indeed, in the case of jewelry, individual portability is important. Especially if these items replace gold or silver jewelry.

The process of making a printed jewelry begins with a sketch, which is created in a graphics editor and transferred to a modeling program. Designers can consider the future decoration from different angles, and also correct it if necessary. The color palette is also selected there.

Then the product is printed. This procedure usually takes a few minutes.

If necessary, the printed decoration is sanded to remove unnecessary irregularities. The final stage is polishing.

It takes about two hours to create one set with additional elements. But this time is minimal in comparison with the joy of wearing exclusive products, even if made of plastic.

Recently, OXO wrote about graceful jewelry with a plot created by a designer from India.
