American John Bisbee creates bizarre sculptures from nails. The sculptor's art objects are an attempt to reproduce natural landscapes.

John Bisbee doesn't just select the perfect nails for his work. Rusty, curved "elements" often have to be used. If necessary, they are unbent, cleaned, extended with tools.

Quite often the sculptor uses nails to burn patterns on wood. Applying a red-hot iron to a tree, traces remain on the latter. So John Bisbee creates flowers, flower arrangements.

The work of preparing nails is often reduced to a special impregnation of the metal with anti-rust agents. Each element of the future sculpture is processed with a cotton swab.

Then John Bisbee shapes the pattern from a previously created sketch. The sculptor transforms the drawing into a three-dimensional image. Sometimes you have to adjust something, because the model on the plane is very different from what will be on the wall or floor of the room.

John Bisbee's favorite pastime is the patterns on the open walls that face the street. The sculptor believes that this allows everyone to enjoy the work.

Among the most frequent works that are found on the streets of the sculptor's city are flower arrangements and ornate weaving of bushes. From the outside it is hard to believe that all these works are made of nails. I want to look at them again and again, to understand the patterns.

Due to the fact that John Bisbee decorates the streets with his works, there is no need for personal exhibitions. But this does not prevent the sculptor from creating gifts for friends and acquaintances in the form of sculptures made of nails.
