Knitted animals are created by Vermont resident Emily Stoking. Outwardly, they resemble visual aids on anatomy.

Frogs, mice, rabbits made of multi-colored threads are placed on wooden and metal surfaces. And, despite the fact that there is little pleasant in the dissected flesh, Emily Stoking's works look very cute, like the images on blankets.

All details - internal organs are depicted with anatomical precision. This is the needlewoman who makes the crocheted animals look as realistic as possible. Even with the naked eye, the internal organs of the prepared animal are discernible - the heart, lungs, liver. Medical students often buy these "souvenirs" and give them to their teachers for fun.

The main question that interests many fans of the American woman's work is whether she has a medical education. The woman did not graduate from medical universities, but she loves to study anatomical atlases. Emily Stoking is attracted by the colorful images of internal organs. Perhaps it may even sound a little strange.

During knitting, the needlewoman tries to bring her work closer to anatomically verified samples. But, this does not always work out. Emily Stoking herself notes that she never achieved 100% accuracy. At the same time, he often allows artistic liberties. But the correctness of the image still remains a priority.

The works of the American can be seen at specialized exhibitions. Prepared animals are also sold in online stores. Emily Stoking practices selling kits that include detailed instructions on how to make an animal.

Recently OXO wrote about a talented Japanese woman who creates berets and mittens with embroidery using felting technique.
