English photographer Nick Veasey came up with the idea of non-standard use of X-rays for photographing objects of inanimate nature. It is worth noting that the Englishman was not the first to use X-rays for non-medical purposes. But the photographer turned this idea into a whole direction in art.

The craftsman is engaged in unique creativity in a special studio, which is a shielded cube. Inside the box, there are X-ray machines, which are controlled by the master using radio control.

To take a picture, the technician places the X-ray plate against the wall or on the floor, and places the subject of the photograph on top of it. If the subject that Veasey wants to capture is too large, then several films are used simultaneously for shooting. The images obtained from them are combined into one during subsequent processing on a computer. By the way, a team of specialists helps Nick in this.

Scanning of the obtained X-ray frames is carried out in computer programs with high resolution. Due to the peculiarities of X-ray photography, the photographer does not always succeed in achieving the desired effect the first time. The professional focuses on some details, and darkens some. Due to this, the photographer achieves a spectacular contrast.

The process of combining images of a large object into one frame is also time consuming. Sometimes a craftsman needs to "glue" up to 500 films to get a complete image.

Weasey takes pictures of objects both on his own inspiration and at the request of customers. Today Nick is considered a sought-after photographer, whose work is popular in the field of advertising.
