A pouf with a removable lid design is rightfully considered an international phenomenon. It enjoys great popularity due to its functionality and convenience. But often, such a piece of furniture has an outdated and boring look. Okho will tell you how to make pouf modern and stylish at home without big expenses. In our master class, we will demonstrate how to sew a fashionable velvet cover that instantly transforms the look of this piece of furniture.

And so, for work you will need a sewing machine, material for a banner, a stapler for furniture, staples, scissors, pins, tape measure, tape and thread.

First of all, it is necessary to measure the diameter of the main frame of the pouf and its seat. Then, on the upholstery fabric, mark the same parameters, adding 10 cm (10 cm) of hem for the fabric.

Transfer the pattern to the fabric, marking the seams with pins. Following the marks, sweep the workpiece, and then sew the seams with the machine. Place the velvet on the lid and trace its shape. Step back 10 cm, draw a new line. Use scissors to cut the resulting circle.
Place a lid on top of it and make sure there is a supply of fabric left over. It will be more convenient for you if you temporarily fix the fabric on the pouf with tape.

Armed with a stapler, proceed to attach the fabric to the product. First fix the 4 edges (cross-to-cross). Fold over the rest of the material, stretch the velvet and also secure with staples.
Wrinkles can be added as needed. Cut off the rest of the fabric. By the same principle, the fabric is attached to the lower part of the ottoman. Pulling the finished case over the base, evenly attach the fabric with a stapler.

Now you can enjoy the new and updated furnishings. By the way, if the lid of the pouf is flat enough, then it can be used as a coffee table or a bedside table.
