Bicycle chain collages are created by graphic designer by training and aspiring sportswoman by spirit Jennifer Beatty. It took the girl 100 days to complete 100 jobs.
The main material for the collages were old spare parts from
bicycles - chains, bolts, wheels and spokes. All elements are combined into whimsical art objects.
The topics were different - from funny faces of pandas to advertising of ketchup in cans. But Jennifer Beatty was especially successful in cartoon characters - Aleph, Star Wars, Cartoon Cat. The cyclist manages to very accurately repeat their facial features.
Separately noted are works that duplicate famous works of art and advertising logos - "The Soup Can" by Andy Warhol, a poster from the cult TV series "The X-Files", the logo of the main music channel and a frame from the game "Pac-Man".
Some advertising agencies even offered to cooperate with the woman upon completion of the project. Marketers were attracted by the unconventional approach to reusing metal parts.
According to the author of the project "100 collages in 100 days" - this is an alternative to recycling. After all, old bicycles would have awaited a standard fate - a dump, melting down. And here they can continue to benefit from their presence. Only not in the physical sense, but visually.
After completing 100 collages, Jennifer Beatty began creating portraits. The girl began with relatives and close friends. Later she began to "write" to order.
The work of the graphic designer and cyclist can be found on her website or on social media.
