Synchronized jumping from structures over tens and hundreds of meters in height is a dangerous hobby. A video with one of such extreme flights was included in the top ten most viewed video of 2021.

French base jumpers Vince Refet and Fred Fugen jumped from the world's tallest Burj Khalifa in Dubai. This event took place on April 21, 2014.

The guys flew about half the height of the building, after which they opened their parachutes. Smoke bombs were attached to the feet of the athletes for better visualization of the jump. As the base jumpers pushed off the base of the tower spire, red smoke appeared.

The free fall continued until the opening of the parachute. The landing near the entrance to the building was completed safely.

The skyscraper was opened in 2010. The height of the structure, similar to a stalagmite, exceeds 828 m. The tower contains residential and business centers, parks, entertainment and shopping centers.

When the skyscraper was just being designed and began to be rebuilt, no one knew about its final height. The secret was revealed only after the construction of about half of the height planned by the architects.

The base jumpers from France planned to use a different skyscraper before the jump they made. But after much deliberation, they began preparations for the record "flight".

Despite the fact that the record got into the Guinness Book back in 2014, the jump video is still relevant today. Proof - hitting the top and millions of views of users from all over the world.
