The sorter for colorful sweets was invented by a user from the USA who “lives” on the Internet under the nickname Ivc. The device can dispense sweets like M & M's, Skittles.

The small plastic structure is divided into three blocks - a bowl for receiving sweets, a color analyzer and a dispensing mechanism. Under the latter, containers for pouring sweets of a certain color are installed.

From the point of view of electronics control is carried out by a microcontroller. Sensors pick up the color of the pellets, a distance sensor and servo drives send them to the desired "compartment". Some of the parts are made of plastic and metal, and some are 3D printed.

Through a funnel, candies are fed to the wheel by four cells, each of which can contain no more than one dragee. The system can track candy jams as well as more than one item arriving in the bin.

When the candy enters the cell, the LED lights it up, and the sensor, programmed for three profiles according to the color, takes readings. After comparison, the LED lights up in a color corresponding to the color of the pellets and transfers the candy to the distribution mechanism.

The inner wheel becomes an accelerator, helping to quickly analyze the color and send the sweetness to the desired cup.

The sorting speed of the device reaches up to 80 candies per minute. This figure is approximately equal to 1.5 kg in 5 minutes.

As noted by the user, $ 127 was spent on his miracle machine. On its website, Ivc even provided a detailed report on what details were needed and how the sorter was assembled.
