Carved paper sculptures are invented and realized by an artist from India Parth Kothekar. The works are so delicate and graceful that they resemble crocheting from fine threads.

Oriental motives are key in Parth Kothekar's works. Architectural structures of the East, mosaics and wicker fences give inspiration to the master. Each image has a light touch of mystery in this part of the globe.

The artist begins to work on flowery ornaments with a sketch. First, a drawing is created on paper. Then filigree carving is started with a scalpel. Petal by petal, ornate patterns are born that amaze with their symmetry.

It takes Parth Kothekar about a few days to create a beautiful pattern on paper. As a rule, this is preceded by the study of literature with illustrations of elements of the architecture of the East. Sometimes the artist even has to go to the place, take pictures. But he does this only in his own country.

In addition to carved architectural compositions, Parth Kothekar creates portraits of people. They are depicted in profile. These are not only relatives and friends of the artist, but also famous personalities - musicians, actors, scientists. This work takes an Indian master about a week.

Parth Kothekar started carving paper about several years ago. At first, these were single jobs, then their number gradually increased. Now an Indian artist creates up to 3-4 works per month. In addition, he conducts courses and master classes on the creation of paper art objects.

Earlier it was reported that an artist from Istanbul creates sculptures using the quilling technique.
