The wave table was created by a design studio from Cyprus
The designer table resembling stains from a drop was created in Mousarris Design Studio. The piece of furniture is already on sale.
Visually, the table is a surface on which water drips. More precisely, a drop. The water seems to freeze in the air.
As a base, the designers chose steel, which was coated with epoxy. The latter creates a solid surface that prevents almost any mechanical damage.
According to the authors' idea, about eight people can fit at the table. The diameter of the piece of furniture is 1.5 m and the total height is 76 cm.
The inspiration for the creation of the table was the water with its ability to flow. Be flexible and strong at the same time, flow smoothly and sharpen stones. The water in the case of the piece of furniture was replaced by epoxy.
It took the designers several weeks to create one table. The work was divided into two parts.
First, it was necessary to create a metal frame that unites the leg and the table top. Grind and polish it.
This was followed by the coating of the upper part of the product with epoxy resin and the formation of streaks and drops. On the still uncured substance, circles were drawn with a metal rod and a drop was formed. It was important to create the effect of fading and streaks on the water.
After all the parts were combined, the table dried up and could be ready for use.
So that during use the furniture does not cause discomfort due to its corrugated surface, it is recommended to cover it with a tablecloth. The latter echoes the appearance of the table.
