Painting from polymer clay: stages of creation

The creation of paintings from polymer clay is a hobby that requires some preparation. Besides tools, ideas are needed. An example is a mushroom panel, which was made by one of the craftswomen.

For work, you will need baked polymer clay, rolling pins, cutters, needles, acrylic paints and glossy varnish.

The first step is to create the bark of the tree. Mix brown, beige, white and orange polymer clay colors. Roll a roller out of them and stretch with a spatula over a sheet of cling film. The texture is created by the bristles of a toothbrush.

The second stage is the modeling of chanterelle mushrooms. First, a drop is formed from yellow polymer clay balls. Then it is stretched on a round base and strips are squeezed out along it with a scalpel or needle. Finished chanterelles are attached to the bark.

Moss and leaves are also created by mixing different colors of polymer clay - yellow, green, orange. The rollers are stretched and the leaves are cut out of them with a scalpel. This is the third stage of work on the painting.

At the fourth stage, the center of the composition is decorated - porcini mushrooms, which are created from two parts, a cap and a leg. Both are formed from two balls. The texture of the roughness is added to them by a toothbrush. After drying, the mushrooms are covered with shavings with grated pastels in the color of the composition.

As an additional decor, you can create insects or frogs.

At the final stage, the painting is tinted in places with acrylic paints and covered with glossy varnish. After drying, the finished work is displayed on a bookshelf or hung on the wall.
