The first eco-school to be built in Denmark
Danish architectural studio Henning Larsen has planned the construction of the first environmentally efficient primary school. The project will be completed in 2022.
The new educational institution is designed for 580 students. In addition to innovative teaching methods, the Danish school will focus on minimizing harm to the environment.
The essence of nature-friendly activities boils down to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, smart energy and waste consumption, natural lighting and ventilation, minimizing noise pollution and exposure to chemicals.
The construction materials and their colors are responsible for the integration of the school into the environment. The green roof is integrated into natural landscapes. As for the class walls, the architects followed the path of inheritance. The decoration of the premises is an unspoken continuation of the earth embankment.
The interior space is planned to be executed in laconic natural shades. Use green, blue and brown colors. Make the furniture as functional as possible so that children and teachers can easily change the place of study in different locations of the school.
The creation of eco-schools cannot yet be called a common practice. But in Denmark, this activity is placed under special control. The country's government is interested in the rational use of natural resources.
After the implementation of this project, the aforementioned architectural studio will begin the creation of a kindergarten and middle and senior schools. But this is already planned for 2025-2028. While the Danes are waiting for an eco-school for primary school students.
