The design studio VasiliLights from the Netherlands creates original paper lampshades with a nautical theme. Attractive lighting fixtures bring freshness and romanticism to the interior of any home.

Lamps made of paper are a great alternative to standard pieces. Their distinctive feature is the geothermal proportions characteristic of origami aesthetics. In addition, the products are highly functional. They act not only as lighting design, but also as an element of fine art.

Lampshades are made in the form of a variety of sea creatures: red perches, goldfish, large turtles and glowing jellyfish. The high-quality paper used in the products is perforated in a special way, as a result of which it acquires a creative look.

Designed to be hung in an upright position, they illuminate the room with calm yet intricate light patterns. Light permeates every opening of the lampshade, giving the home a cozy ambience.

VasiliLights was created in 2012 by architects Vasily Popov and Lydia Koloyarskaya. The project gave an opportunity for ambitious people to reveal their talent in the direction of industrial design.

In their creations, the designers combine the latest digital advances in miniature craftsmanship with traditional handicraft techniques.
