Carpets of unusual shape are created by the Baku master Faig Ahmed. In his works, traditional Azerbaijani patterns are blurred over the fabric.

Visually, these are rectangular, oval and round canvases, the upper part of which is decorated with Arabic ornaments. But from the middle of the textile, a shift in shapes, colors and textures begins. Initially, the textile component is transformed into a digital mosaic.

The peculiarity of this technique is the connection of 3D modeling to weaving. First, a future sketch of the carpet is created, then, using graphic editors, a separate part of the image is "smeared". Textures are stretched, flattened, in some places they pass from one plane to another.

The Baku master has a special attitude to his work and to textiles in general. He believes that every culture has its own patterns and ornaments. They are perceived as words and separate phrases. They can be read, translated into other languages. Moreover, everyone understands something of their own.

Faig Ahmed has been weaving carpets for several years. After graduating from the Faculty of Sculpture of the Azerbaijan State Academy of Arts, the guy immediately started working. He was engaged in the creation of video installations, and then gradually moved on to sculpture and to work with textiles.

Today Faig Ahmed carpets can be found at exhibitions in Europe, Asia and America. The master's works add to the private collections of people who are not indifferent to contemporary art. Many galleries in France, Germany and Azerbaijan held personal exhibitions of the Baku citizen.

The OXO subsection Furniture and Interior contains more than 1000 lots, including handmade and machine-woven carpets.
