Lights-the mushrooms from the mycelium for environmental startups

Designer Nir Meiri has designed for a startup BIOHM unusual lamp in the shape of a mushroom. The main part of the device is made of metal – a thin tube comes out of the base and rises above the table, ending with a hat. The lampshade is made of mycelium spores mixed with paper waste. After the mycelium absorbed the paper, the material was dried, disposed of all excess and compressed, giving the desired shape.
