San Diego-based designer Dan Nguyen created a decorative wood panel that resembles a surface of water. Blue color and ripples add realism to it.

Visually, the panel is a circle with wavy transitions and a corrugated texture. The color component was chosen in such a way that the surface of the decor object involuntarily prompted thoughts of water.

As the designer himself said, at first he chose a suitable wooden base. Part of the log was cleaned, sanded and covered with special impregnations. However, the work with wood was preceded by the stage of drawing the ripples, as well as its cutting.

When smoothing irregularities, it should be done so that the surface of the panel is completely smooth, without roughness.

You can use this decor in any room. A wooden panel imitating the water surface visually calms and balances the space. Adds inner strength to the rooms, which is subsequently transmitted to the person.

Dan Nguyen says that his project is an internal protest against the architectural past. The organic forms of wood contrast sharply with the coldness and directness of the architecture. The designer connects his work with human energy, the flow of feelings and emotions.
