An old tabletop can be renewed. And interior designers know how to do it.

Some of the most sought-after and actionable tips are the use of coated paint, fired cement, reconstituted marble, glue paper, and woodgrain paint.

Coated paint creates the impression that artificial stone has been used to decorate the countertop. This type of coating is rough and matte in texture. However, the coated paint will need to be fixed with a layer of melted wax.

Fired cement or paints that mimic its effect give the countertop the shine of newly poured concrete. Unpretentiousness in care, economical use of the diluted mixture and glossiness of the surface are the advantages of this type of coating.

Artificial marble is still a popular way of decorating countertops. Its external coldness is often used for loft-style interiors. And a modern trick, which consists in a special mixing of paints, allows you to achieve a marble effect even on wood.

The effect of any stone or wood helps to achieve the gluing of the paper. This type of finish has its limitations, but it works great as a temporary decoration method.

To use wood-like paint, it is enough to prepare a simple set of tools and brown enamel. After cleaning and sanding, the coated surface looks like natural wood.

After updating the old countertop, it is worth moving on to filling it. And here the section "Kitchen tools" acts as an assistant.
