A group of scientists from institutes in Australia, Italy, Great Britain, Germany, France and Bulgaria presented optical technology that makes objects invisible in the dark visible. A special film is applied to ordinary lenses.
At the heart of the development of the researchers are microscopic crystals that make it possible to turn invisible infrared light into visible images. This film is particularly thin. And if it were colorless, then it is simply impossible to notice it on the glasses.
This lens cover acts like a filter that converts infrared radiation into objects that are tangible to the human eye. The latter become visible.
The development is based on the properties of metasurfaces that have been emitted by scientists for a long time. It means that the optical properties of an object vary at each specific point on its surface.
It is noted that this is the first experience of converting infrared radiation into images visible to the human eye. And the lightness, low cost and adaptability for mass production increases the demand in the technology market.
It is believed that such a film will be able to compete with most night vision devices. The latter, due to the high price and lack of convenience, are often of little demand.

"Other equipment and components" there are devices for searching in difficult conditions, including in the dark, - mobile satellite kits, telescopes, profilometers, remote temperature and humidity sensors. The buyer only has to go to the desired position and place a bid.
