The Perseverance rover passed the surface of the planet without the help of scientists from NASA. The device made its first autonomous drive.

The rover was controlled by a special navigation system. This technology is sharpened by the rover's wheels without the help of scientists who are on Earth.

It is noted that the device is equipped with an improved set of technological gadgets, which, in comparison with its predecessor, give Perseverance a functional head start. He is able to make volumetric maps of the area, identify potential hazards and plan his route, overcoming obstacles.

According to the designers of NASA, the rover can adapt faster in new territories, lay direct routes and move faster than similar devices along them. In terms of speed parameters, the device that can be controlled by the navigation system has no equal.

The maximum rover speed can reach 120 m / h. This figure is six times higher than its predecessor Perseverance.

It is assumed that the presence of a navigation system will be a key function of the rover. Therefore, it is planned to be implemented in subsequent devices of this type. However, this is preceded by certain tests that the rovers must complete with more than 90% success.

However, space exploration would have been impossible without reliance on specialized literature. In the eponymous section of the OXO site there are specialized publications that will help both beginners and experienced designers gain knowledge.
