Airships are created for scenic flights. But the Polish airship "Gulliver" has a different purpose. Built from wood, the airship is positioned above the Prague Center for Contemporary Art. It has become a major reading room, and also serves as a platform for creative meetings and a venue for exhibitions.

The idea of placing an unusual architectural structure among industrial buildings belongs to Leos Volk. The name of the airship has become a reflection of the paradox of the architectural idea and symbolizes the nature of the projects carried out on board (adventurism and creativity).

The architectural preparation of the building was carried out by the design studio Dvorak & Partners and David Kubik together with Martin Rainis. The frame of "Gulliver" is made of 14 wooden frames. They are interconnected by two-meter stringers. The connection mechanisms are constructed of rust-resistant galvanized steel. The columns emerging from the pile foundation constitute the frame of the supporting structure.

The airship opened its doors to visitors in 2016. The 42-meter space can comfortably accommodate up to 120 people. In addition to the main building, there is a backstage room in the airship. It is a miniature gondola located under the lower deck.

To heat the premises, Gulliver is equipped with a water and windproof membrane and infrared panels. In addition, powerful lighting equipment is placed on the decks, which is used in various presentations and events.
