First of all, the calculator is aimed at people over 55 years old. At the moment, it is presented only in English, but soon the inventors will improve the brainchild by adding other languages to it.
It is known that there is currently no medication or general treatment for dementia. But the good news is that a third of cases can be delayed or even prevented through a series of efforts. If a person reduces their tobacco and alcohol use, begins to exercise, eat right and control their blood pressure, then the chances of a normal life will increase.
The online tool is based on survey data from 75,000 volunteers. The device calculates the likelihood of health problems based on data such as ethnicity, marital status, place of residence, education, stress, immigration status, social status, chronic diseases, smoking history and many others.
