Like Hogwarts: China has an "endless" bookstore

The bookstore is located in one of the small Chinese towns and looks like a fabulous Hogwarts.

The total area of ​​this second-hand book paradise is over 900 square meters. The floors and ceilings are decorated with mirrors that expand the space and create a sense of infinity.

In their work, the designers tried to duplicate the silhouette of the city. The reflective floor tiles resembled a lake, the tiered shelves resembled mountains, the elaborately decorated walls resembled forests and fields.

Books in this store are arranged on C-shaped shelves. And the shelves seem to surround the visitors of this place. Towering "columns" of books create a state of unity in the bookstore, which is combined with freedom. The space is like a labyrinth.

The bookstore is designed in such a way that future buyers can familiarize themselves with the books before purchasing them. Sit on soft ottomans, plunge into the atmosphere of reading. And at the top of the building there is a round area with tables where you can read and enjoy the fresh air.

The authors of the project have not forgotten about children. The walls of this area are decorated with pictures of pandas. And it seems to children that the book characters have left the pages of books and are invited to a fairytale journey.

This is not the first project of this type in China. Architects gravitate towards creating atmospheric spaces that make those present feel as comfortable as possible.
